
Strengthening Mobility and Promoting Regional Integration of Engineering Education in Africa (SPREE) is one of the Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme. supported projects with 5 partner universities in Eastern, Central, Southern, Northern and Western Africa. Applications are invited for SPREE mobility scholarships. Ghent University acts as technical partner.
SPREE is designed to provide resources and opportunities for students mobility from four regions of Africa, offering support for Master and Doctoral studies as well as staff exchange among the consortium partners.

Mobility for Masters students
(degree seeking mobility)
Applications will open on March 14th for following programmes in the 2023-2024 academic year:
FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, AKURE - Nigeria
Programmes:
· MSc in Master of Science in Advanced Materials Engineering
Scholarship period: maximum 24 months ( the first 12 months for course works while the remaining 12 months is for research)
Eligible beneficiaries: Graduated Bachelor degree holders from TG1 (Mekelle University, Moi University, University of Zambia and Ain Shams University) and Graduates from an African University (TG2) except Nigeria.
Expected start date of the scholarship: January 2024
UNIVERSITY OF ZAMBIA – Zambia
Programme: Master of Engineering in Construction Management
Scholarship period: 24 months (the first 12 months for course works while the remaining 12 months is for research)
Eligible beneficiaries: Graduated Bachelor degree holders from TG1 (Mekelle University, Moi University, Ain Shams University and Federal University of Technology Akure) and Graduates from an African University (TG2) except Zambia.
Expected start date of the scholarship: January/February 2024
MOI UNIVERSITY – Kenya
Programmes:
· MSc in Industrial Engineering
Scholarship period: 24 months
Eligible beneficiaries: Graduated Bachelor degree holders from University of Zambia, Mekelle University, Ain Shams University and Federal University of Technology Akure. Graduates from an African Universities TG2 (except in Kenya), who can be admitted for the Master of Science in Textile Engineering at Moi University, are also encouraged to apply.

Programmes:

Scholarship period: 6 months
Eligible beneficiaries: Graduated Bachelor degree holders from the University of Zambia, Mekelle University, Ain Shams University and Federal University of Technology Akure. Applicants should contact, Moi University Spree coordinator (igadwa@gmail.com or igadwa@mu.ac.ke) for details and formal admission into the Master of science in Industrial engineering credit mobility program before applying.

AIN SHAMS UNIVERSITY - EGYPT
Students can select from any of the postgraduate courses offered by the faculty of engineering, Ain Shams University. They are encouraged to select from courses related to New and Renewable Energy, Irrigation and Hydraulics, and Environmental Engineering programs.
The list of all post-graduate courses can be found here.
Yet, the students are encouraged to contact the post-graduate coordinator (https://eng.asu.edu.eg/education/PG/contact-us) to make sure that the courses will be offered during the semester they are applying for.
Students should check the course contents with their home university, prior their application, if they will need to have those credit transferred.
